1998 4.3L fuel injector swap to throttle body
I have a 1998 4.3L s 10 blazer. I was wanting to swap the spider fuel injector system to an earlier model throttle body is this even possible.
I have had nothing but trouble out of this fuel injector system. Wife overheated motor in 2005. Blown head gaskets, busted radiator, and melted spider injectors inside intake. Not knowing anything was wrong with injectors, I bought a block and set of heads for it. I used my intake and fuel injection system, could not get engine to start up. Well after many unwanted, expensive trips to parts store for various sensors found out what the problem was. Changed fuel injection system and blazer ran fine fine for about two or three days. Now blazer will not start, cant hear fuel pump kicking in was wondering if this could be the problem or if something else could be wrong with engine. Can pour gas in intake and will run until gas is burnt out, but almost seems like it locks motor up while trying this method. Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.

You could try checking the fuel pressure that would tell you if the fuel pump is working and if it is strong enough.
Can you hear it run for a few seconds if you just turn the key to the on position?

The blazer isn't getting any fuel to the injectors or intake. The fuel pump does not kick in when turning key on or cranking vehicle. Was wandering if there could be any other problem that would cause this besides fuel pump. Hate to spend $360 for fuel pump before being sure about it, thanks though.

This is the full diagnostic in the Tech section.

My only other thoughts for simple fixes would be a bad fuse or relay in the fuel pump circuit

only things it could be is a clogged fuel filter if u can hear it kick on but still no fuel at the injectors, My guess is a bad fuel pump relay, or maybe a bad fuse, i dont believe theres a fuse for the pump tho just a relay. there is however a fuel pump test wire under you hood that if u place 12 volts to, the pump will then either kick on and u know to check the little things, if it doesnt you know its the pump
