Do I really have to remove the steering wheel and air bag to replace to turn signal-combo switch? Can't I just follow all the other procedures concerning the battery-fuses, wait-time, knee panel, e-brake handle, and steering column covers? Just curious....I have stopped at the tilt wheel lever. Viewed what others have said about removing the tilt lever, I was afraid of braking it. Just pull it straight out with alot of force?
Thanks.

Multifunction switch replacement requires loosening the steering column bracket nuts, and remove both of the column covers and the knee bolster. Don't have to remove the steering wheel or air bag.
