1999 4x4 dead motor
I bought a nice 99 with coolant in the oil replaced the intake gaskets, flushed it drove it, changed oil immediately. After a couple of trouble free months it sounds like it coming unglued. I suspect can bearings?
Anyhow I've read the body needs to be raised on a 4x4 to replace engine is there a way around this? Sounds like a pita. Maybe my 94 S10 PU needs a 99 grille and core support lol. Its a nice Blazer 4.3 700r4 came with $1800 in recent work done. I paid $200 with coolant in the oil. I'm not excited about buying a 500.00 used motor and jacking the body off the frame. I'm sure someone has done this?
I've searched but have limited access on my pay per minute phone, I live in the boonies and no home computer internet any tips, trick, comments?
I'll be doing this in my gravel driveway between rainshowers! Thank you in advance.

I have a 4x4 and didn't have to lift the body at all when I replaced my engine. I think lifting the body might actually make it more difficult. I know you may need a body lift if you install certain V8s due to oil pan clearance issues.
