2000 blazer 2wd 4.3 vortec cranks no start
I replaced the ignition rotor under the cap after that the blazer now won't start it ran before I changed out the rotor. I did find a wire going to the coil that had a bare spot that gotten grounded out after that i had fire to the coil but not out of the coil so i replaced the coil and entire distributor system ( cap and rotor and distributor. Still doesn't start any clues? I don't have the tools to test power or voltage HELP!!
You have an electrical issue in your ignition circuit. This will be impossible to diagnose without a meter/scanner and/or test lights. These are the things that will need to be checked:
power and ground to ICM and coil
pulses to the coil
pulses to the ICM
if you really want to try to fix this yourself without any tools then your left with inspection and parts swapping which is not ideal. Look for issues with the power wires which are usually pink and the ground wires and connections which are usually black. If you have access to known good parts to swap then the candidates are the crank sensor, ICM and coil. Way down the list but possible is a faulty PCM.
always make sure that you have a proper path to ground for spark output or you can kill your coil.

I have read on one of the blazer forums that signs of icm failure or beginning of failure is that the rpm gauge needle would randomly bounce around which mine actually was doing before the no start issue came about
