2000 Blazer 4.3 LS 4x4 drivers side front end noise?
I just bought my son a 2000 blazer LS 2dr with 66000 miles on it nice truck runs good. The dealer put new ball joints and it looks like a few new steering arms in. The problem I'm having is that at low speeds 20-40 mph it sounds like their is something loose or their is play in a bushing or shock or something?? Noise seems toe from the tire area. I jumped under their and looked everything looks ok no visible wear?? Dealer tells me everything is tight but it isn't ??? Any ideas where to start my search??? Thanks for any help!

What does the noise sound like? Does it change in any way when you steer to the right or left? If so, list the change in sound for each direction.
I replaced the shocks in my old '00 Bravada and had a clunking noise afterwords. The problem there was the upper shock mount. The metal sleeve in the new aftermarket shock (Monroe Reflex) was narrower than the mount and torquing the bolt to spec didn't pull the mount in tight to the sleeve. Tightening the bolt up beyond spec solved that problem.
I also had a hood hinge pin rattle that drove me nuts. GM has a service bulletin on this and conical washers that can be purchased that are supposed to fix that issue. Link from the Tech Article (DIY) Index: Hood Hinge Rattle - TSB 01-08-63-001B You can diagnose this by putting a wadded up rag up on top of the firewall near the hinge on the side you think the noise is coming from. Wad it up just enough to put some additional tension in the hinge, but not enough to bend the hood. If the noise goes away, go get some of the conical washers from the dealer.

- works for everything but sway bar links. test those for slop, wheels on ground or disconnect one end and check slop.
added: And check to see if you can easily move the brake pads around. Missing clips can cause pad rattle which is truly annoying.
Otherwise take it to a good independent shop with seasoned mech who does suspension work. He can probably tell what it is by sound.
