Exclamation 2000 Blazer LT 4WD engine replacement, ready to start?

how should i go about priming the engine and trans with oil?

how are these motors timed or are they non adjustable?
(im pretty sure i had the motor at TDC before we put plugs in and dropped the motor in, but i dont know if the position of distributer spindle/rotor is correct)

do these suvs have any issues with passlock after replacing the engine with a matching oe engine?

anything im missing when it comes to these suvs and staring after a replacement engine?

heres the story with it, last year i bought a running blazer on a crazy good deal. its a 2000 chevy blazer lt 4wd 4.3auto, 150k, mint body and interior. i knew the engine didnt have long, as it smelled coolant. we got 6 months out of it before it blew the headgasket and locked the engine up when all the coolant dumped into the engine.

i pulled the dead engine and found a certified "running" 4.3 v6 out of a 98-99 S10, with 115k and a year warranty. i stuck it in last weekend, and have everything mechanical and electrical hooked back up now. except i have a mystery plug, its 2 prong female and comes out of the harness between the fuel delivery and throttle body on top of the engine, i think the rubber jacket on it is blue or black

anyone every ditched the clutch fan out for flexalite style electric fans?

Default Might help a little

Well I'm 15 and I have. 1998 blazer that had a blow motor it's going to be my first car. I got a 98 s10 engine with 90 k miles since the firing order is 165432 we took out the number 1 cylinder spark plug stuck a screw driver in and turn the engine over just like one turn till you can feel the topof the piston. The distributor is fixed so you cannot turn it to time then just line the distruvtor up with number 1 cylinder and you should be set and a little tip is to make sure the oil pump is lined up with the distrubtor!! My dad has a 6 in long 3/8 extension that he grounded down two side of it to fit in the oil pump. Then taped another extension onto that good luck!

i haven't sawpped for the electric fan yet. but what im thinking of going with is, LMC has a dual electric fan and it comes with a wireing harness, relay, adjustable temp switch and install instructions. Truck Parts and Truck Accessories
