trying to get 94 full size blazer snow ready
Well first off i am brand new to this forum. I have a 94 blazer, when I got it the first thing I added was flowmaster muffler and artic claw tires. So far has been pretty reliable, previous owners gave me an envelope with tons of repairs done to it through out the years. Lots of newer parts on her. Well on to my questions. We are going to be moving to Lake head, Ca which gets a fair amount of snow during winter. I will be commuting south from there 45 min to work 5 days a week. I am going to put on a set of 265/75R16 Pro comp mud tires on her http://4wheelonline.com/Products.asp...ProductId=1250. And I am gonna put this locker on if it's the right one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVROLET-BLAZER-1989-1994-8-5-10-BOLT-LOCK-RIGHT-1921-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5635b2612dQQitemZ37026 8070189QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccesso ries (doesnt say if it's for s-10 or full size blazer). If that is the wrong one I found limited slip for rear for around $350, i just have to find out how many spline and what rear end I have. I am still not sure how to find that out. Then I am going to get limited slip for sure on the front, which I have not been able to find yet. I have never done anything with diffs so it is all new to me and I know nothing about it. So if i do these things to my Blazer how do you think she will do in the snow? I know the current setup right now is not good at all my 77 ramcharger in two wheel drive can out wheel the blazer in 4wd no problem. I am just trying to find the cheapest way to get snow ready without welding spider gears. any info would be great.
