Default 2000 GMC Jimmy Mystery Wire Help

Was wondering if anyone could help me identify this wire and where it needs to connect to, would be greatly appreciated. It’s the red wire in the photo

Is it powered?
12 V on all the time or only with ignition?
It's definitively not factory. Looks as if somebody had a fumble with the wiring harness.

It does run without problems, does it? So give it another couple days. Maybe somebody chimes in who knows the 2000's or has the schematic.

Wonder if someone ran a new wire for the fuel pump... looks like it's right beside the fuse box under the hood?

Given the large gauge blue wire that is right there as well, I'm wondering if it isn't the factory 7 pin wiring up to the underhood fuse/relay center. The red would be the +12V feed to the 7 pin wiring at the rear bumper and the blue would be for the brakes. There should be a ring terminal on the red wire for connection to the B+ post in the fuse/relay center, but it looks like that has either corroded or broken off. THIS POST has pictures of what I am talking about and what it should look like. This wiring is typically behind the fuse/relay center..

Is that red wire heading into the relay fuse center or away from it?

As asked earlier, does it have 12v power?
