The rear hatch will not pop open from the button. It works from the dash button and remote. We found an article here on opening the switch and cleaning contacts. We did this and the contacts looked pretty good but we sanded the contact anyway and cleaned up the electrical grease.

Still doesn't work.

With the switch apart and plugged in, it seems as if we can rotate the contact left or right to unlock and lock the doors, but pushing in does nothing to trigger the lock actuator.

We thought about just buying another switch but now wonder if the switch is even the issue.

I was wondering if anyone knew which pins to short out to trigger the lock?

This is the switch that has the lock built into it.

 

You should be able to test the switch for continuity. There are tons of videos on you tube on how to do it.
