Default 2002 S-10 Blazer blower motor issue

Hi, I have a 2002 S-10 blazer and I believe that my blower motor is not coming on due to the resistor. I have googled this for hours and keep coming up with 2 conflicting locations for the resistor. Is this under the passenger side dash, or under the hood on the passenger side, to which I need to take a razor blade to remove some rubber piece to get to the resistor?

OK Terry according to the Haynes manual all models are under the hood
On the pickup models it is located on the Blower/ Evaporator housing toward the firewall by the blower/ air conditioning relays
On the blazer and Jimmy models it has to be cut out of the housing along the dotted lines it should have. it doesn't say anything or show anything in regards to any rubber piece

The resistor is located under the hood, next to the heater core inlet and outlet passages. If you have the original blower motor..Odds are you need to change it out.The resistor has 2 small screws on it, it doesn`t have any rubber pieces on it.You can test the resistor if need be.Also, if your resistor is the original one,you may as well change it out too.The blower motor will need to be cut out with a utility knife, around the base of it.Before you reinstall it, you`ll have to seal around the inside edge of the base with black rtv .After you install the blower motor, apply a small bead of black rtv around the top of the base. That way you know it`s sealed off from the everyday weather.Believe it or not, my blowor motor is still the original. It hasn`t been cut out at all.Looks like the resistor is original too.I`m not having any issues with my blower motor nor my resistor at this time. But then again we all never know if and when we`ll have any electrical problems.

I just changed mine on my 1999 blazer. It is under the hood. If it's never been changed yes you do need to cut the plastic around it. Very easy to change
