I'm not bitching about the gas mileage I want to truck since I was 16
Known the entire time what comes with it
I think the better question I should've asked how to maintain its current gas mileage and make sure it doesn't go down
Outside of its normal maintenance

New plugs and wires regularly(run nice quality ones)a k&n air filter(maintain the filter by washing it and oiling it as it gets dirty) keep your throttle body nice and clean. New fuel filter wouldn't hurt either. You could run some Sea-foam through your fuel system once a year to help keep injectors clean... Pretty much keeping up on your regular maintenance is the key

prius hahahaha that's priceless

Like newguy said basic maintenance makes all the difference. Where I noticed the most change was with all new o2 sensors. Should have seen the ones I took out of my truck, I don't think I had any at all...hahaha I also run the lucas injector cleaner every other tank and now I'm up to 20 mpg. All going to go down hill when I fit these 37s on though...

Make sure your your fuel filter is clean, or just put a new AC Delco on in since they are cheap. You could also switch to an electric fan.

Here are some steps for incremental MPG increases: tune up engine with AC Delco ignition parts; change engine oil to full synthetic oil; increase tire pressure 2 to 4 lb.s PSI; drive and brake carefully-- iow don't drive like a teenager; remove unnecessary weight from vehicle; if you have large, knobby tires, buy stock sized 'highway' tires; get an alignment; and make sure none of the brakes and the parking brake is working properly and not causing brake drag.
