Default 2004 Chevy blazer push buttons not lighting up

Most of the treads during my search mention vacuum issues however I’m having a different problem

switch was lighting up saying 2hi but when trying to engage 4hi or 4lo only the 2hi button would stay lit I would hear a click from the tccm in the kick panel. So I pulled that and cleaned the connector and plug and put it back in and same thing. Now a day later all buttons are dark minus the backlight from the dimmer switch and it makes no noise at the tccm

bad switch? Bad tccm?

Ive never used the 4x4 yet in this as it’s a recent purchuse so im trying to narrow down possibilities

Probably a blown ATC fuse..

Replace the fuse, if the lights come back on, then try 4hi again..

If the fuse blows again , then it's a short or fault at the TCCM or encoder motor..

Swap out the ATC fuse and see where ya end up..
