Default 4x4

I have a 1997 gmc jimmy and when i try to put it in 4 wheel sometimes the light just blinks and does nothing and sometimes it pops tons of fuses now it only goes in 4 wheel lo. any Help or Ideas

I thought I had an issue this week with mine not engaging properly.

What fuses are blowing? With that information, we can dig into the wiring and maybe figure out the cause.

The 4x4 fuse keeps blowing when i try to ingadge it

The 4WD fuse (#19 - 20A) supplies power to the +12V motor feed inputs to the TCCM (transfer case control module) and then on out to the encoder motor itself. I would test the wiring from the fuse to the TCCM & from the TCCM out to the encoder motor for shorts to ground. Test it while moving the connectors & harnesses around.
