Thanks for all the help and knowledge Kyle!
Hello all, 6 months ago I inherited a 95 blazer, little did I know what I was in for, it needed allot of work. Now that it is finished, I thought I would share my blazer experience with you all.
It was blowing smoke like crazy and running like crap 6months ago, here is what I did to my blazer to get it running right and state inspected (Maryland inspection is THE WORST!).
valve seals and head done
Replaced all emission devices
Alternator
Water pump
2 rear seat belts
door switches for windows and locks
switches for 4X4
temp sensors
Serpentine Belt
Fuel pump
Sending unit
Fuel pressure regulator
plugs,wires, dist cap and rotor
4 new AT tires
2 rotors
2 drums
new pads & shoes
complete exhaust system
tie rods
pitman arm
vacuum lines
Master Brake cylinder
ECM (Computer brain)
Alternator Bracket
Brake Booster system
Hood release latch
Horn
Battery
2 Dash Lights
Windshield
Labor and parts... $2000.00 and several new grey hairs~!
Most work performed by myself and a few shade tree mechanics, would have been a failure if I had not found this website to help educate me on the most difficult repairs.
Thanks to all who helped!
