do you think it's a bad piston??
#96
Im thinkin we have a similar problem..Maybe it's the color of our trucks Lmao!
#97
Could be I'm trying to get in touch with the guy with the answers!!!

Some suggested that maybe I have bad valve springs what do you think?
#99
Yours could be a weak spring and i'm still thinking mine is a weak lifter..But wouldn't our symptoms show a leak down? I had mine tested several times and i have no leak down.
what a mystery.

A weak spring could be caught by a leak down test, but probably would not. A weak spring can still provide enough seat pressure to seal, but not enough to keep the valve from floating (being thrown by the rocker arm) which can cause a misfire.
A bad lifter will not be caught by a leak down.
