Question 95 blazer tranny issue

So about a week and a half ago I had the shift cable and neutral position switch replaced. Drive really great until Friday evening. Then this crazy thing started to not want to shift out of first gear unless I let off the gas a little. Not to mention I have to take it between 2700 and 3000 rpm before I let off and get it to shift. When it does shift its smooth. Doesn't seen to be making the shift into OD either. Fluid is pink but a little dirty, smells a little funky but not horrendous. What do you all think? I would like some good news (like flush, filter, and a solenoid lol) but I'm afraid it's perhaps uglier than that. I am not super mechanical so I am hoping for educated guesses from people who are thanks

Were did you have the work done? Don't get all negative and dreaming dark stuff. Take it back, tell them whats going on and ask if they moved or disconnected any electrical connectors. IMO its related to the work done, would think electrical not mechanical.

Lol fair enough. I had planned on taking it back to my mechanic tomorrow to have them have a look-see at it. If its something from the work done they'll take care of me. They are pretty darn good, so that would be the best case scenario.

I think there is an adjustment on that shift cable. They may have it off just a little??

The problem started after they changed the cable or was it there all along?

Well it's at the shop today. They have taken a look at it and are 98 percent sure it's in the tranny. He is going to get under it tomorrow and check out the solenoids etc and go from there. If its a solenoid it will be cheap(hooray!) if its other it will be a bit spendy. And to answer the question it did start this nonsense after the previous repair but not till a week or so later.

OD servo burnt up is the verdict 1100.00 bucks to swap a used tranny into it. Sad, sad, sad.
