Default 95 jimmy fuel issues...

I recently bought a 95 jimmy from a buddy who said the fuel pump was out. He gave me one to replace it but it turned out to be the wrong one. Bought a new one, changed it and fuel filter. It will now fire up and then die within about five seconds. I got a fuel pressure tester and it is only reading about 12 psi when I turn the key on, and jumps to about 180 when I crank. Any ideas what would cause this?? I read where fuel pressure w key on engine off should be 60-66... I'm thinkin it could be the fuel pressure regulator but not sure and don't want to jus shotgun parts. Any advice greatly appreciated!!!!

Look down the throttle body, is the passenger side really clean or showing signs of washing? If so, then it could be the regulator or leaking injectors.

Two different fuel delivery systems were used in 1995, two different sets of diagnostics & specs. Which engine do you have?

No problem, I need reminders sometimes too That one's easy for me to remember: there were 2 different fuel delivery systems, and 3 different OBD systems used in 1995 S&T vehicles. Too much "mickey mouse" for Olds to deal with so they didn't produce the Bravada in 1995.
