Default '95 rear door panel removal.. help

Hi:

Trying to remove door panels to work on rear spearkers that aren't working.

From other posts dealing with various years I was able to figure how to get the panel almost all of the way off.

One spot remains that I can't figure out. It is the top of the panel, where it meets the bottom of the window. In fact, I can get about 2/3 of THAT up. It's the 1/3 of that top rail, closest to the front of the truck in the window corner that I can't figure out.

I've removed the 2 screws in the closure handle, and the single screw behind the door opening mechanism. The spot that is hung is right in the area of the opening mechanism. Also gonna need to know how to get the mechanism handle off.

I'm afraid to yank on it too hard.

What am I missing?

Thanks HillbillyinOhio

Do you mean in plain sight or do I need to pop the handle cover off or something to access it?

HillbillyinOhio:

Just wanted to thank you for your help.

With your assist, I finally got the dern door panels off and was able to get my first look at the speakers in the door.

I pulled them out and cut 'em off, then tested the wires with a speaker from a portable boom-box. Voila!!!!! Music!!!!!

That tells me that the wires are good...and the speakers are not.

Took another suggestion of yours I found in another post where you were helping someone else, and ordered some Pioneers from Onlinecarstereo.com

I don't expect installation to be too tough.

Thanks so much for your help!

not hard at all. just do a search on here for Wiring in the AV section and that will help you out with the polarity of your speakers
