Pins 4 and 5 are internally tied together and so pin 5 should also be able to provide the needed ground.

Again, since you have a 16 pin ODB II connector you jumper pins 4 (or 5) and 6 and then turn the ignition on to get your ODB 1.5 system to flash the ODB I codes on your dash lights. IOW pins 5 and 6 will be your A and B in this article:
