Exclamation 96 Chevy Blazer Wont Start!

Okay! So I have a 96 Blazer, about a month after I bought this truck, it was kind of chugging almost like it was missing, particularly up hill. It would do its chugging thing for a minute then run just fine. THEN one night my battery in my fob for my viper alarm system died, and the alarm went off and i couldnt shut it off so i disconnected the battery until i could get a new battery for my FOB. Everything was fine, the truck started up just fine, I got to the end of my drive way which is about half of a kilometer, the check engine light came on and it chugged some more then it was just fine. I managed to get about another kilometer down the road and it died. Like completely died. I have checked all the things i could think it would be such as spark plugs/wires, battery, fuel pump/filter, Air cleaner, fuel pressure, fuses, relays, Everything!! I have reset the alarm and my truck wont start!! It turns over, and the motor rotates but it wont catch and fire! I dont know what is wrong with my POS. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Anytime a engine wont start you need to check for spark and fuel.

Start with a fuel leakdown test. Use a fuel pressure gauge you can get as a loaner at an auto parts store if you don't have one. Hook it up to the test port on the fuel line. Turn the key to the "on" position but do not start your truck. You should hear the fuel pump run for 2 seconds. During that 2 seconds the fuel pressure must read 60-66psi. Once the fuel pump shuts off the pressure should remain above 55psi for 10 minutes. Post your results.

Did you get the code for the Check engine light? Most parts stores will check it for free.
