Default 97 Blazer Gauges going crazy.

I have a 97 Blazer with 4.3 motor I have replaced the coil distributer cap and rotor button. My wife said she was going down the road and the Blazer acts like it wants to cut off has cut off on before, also the gauges go crazy and the airbag light starts flashing. It has not done it to me yet. Please help. Thanks

Sounds like an ignition switch problem.

Do you think it could be the ignition module? Thanks

The ICM (ignition control module)? A failing ICM could cause the truck to want to stall, however, it would not cause the gauges to go crazy. An ignition switch can cause the gauges to go nuts and cause the engine to stall out.
