hey guys, 1st post here, new member -- so, I have a 98 4x4, V6 Vortec, I was driving and the temp gauge began to rise, so I cut it off. Turns out the upper rad hose blew. Replaced the hose and now it cranks fine but will not fire. It sounds like it wants to start with starting fluid. I found another thread on here with the EXACT same issue.....but no one posted the outcome.

Oil is not milky. I dont think I popped the head but who knows.

any ideas at all? Even if I cooked something, it should still start, right? maybe just run like crap?

 

Have you gone through the basics? Fuel, air, spark? Check your fuel pressure, check cylinder compression, and check the spark then report back your findings.
