Default 98 AWD Transfer Case in 01 Bravada

So I have an opportunity to pick up a low mileage 98 Borg and Wagoner transfer case out of a friends wrecked Bravada. I know the 98 and older cases are full time AWD (35/65 ratio). I was wondering if this would fit into my 01 model or if anyone had tried this? I realize this will decrease gas mileage a bit, but I don't drive very far to work, and the dependability of knowing its in AWD all the time is something I would like. I have had the Bravada for years and just am not a huge fan of the Smarttrak AWD system as it is.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hmm, was afraid I might not get much with this. I guess the next step would be to compare it side by side to an NV136. If they are same dimensions, etc, I cant see it not working assuming the speed sensor can be integrated. Also I know from how my Bravada was when I got it, if I pull the ATC fuse in the engine compartment, it will shut off the "Service AWD" light.

AWD, (NV136) was available as an option in Blazers, but it is very rare. If both vehicles have the NV136, it's a definite probably If one of the vehicles has the NV233 2 speed selectable, without a bunch of modifications, both electronic, and mechanical, the answer is a definite NO, (they will not bolt up and operate).

Cap you are the man.....I was hoping you would have something on this one!

I was under the impression the 98 and older had the Borg and Wagoner full time AWD case....was I wrong? I am questioning if I can put that case in my 01....
