98 ZR2 no start
new guy here. normally i stick to Full size Chevy's and Jeeps for toys
my dad recently bought a 1998 ZR2 balzer as a toy to build for off road. bought it with the PO saying it had a bad fuel pump and will not start.
no issue, got it home, sure enough it has low fuel pressue at 42 with key on. replaced the pump with a new Delco unit for 65 with key on but still no start.
gave it a tune up, have spark at all 6 plugs, appears to be strong spark as well and still no start.
for the hell of it, gave it a shot of Ether and it fired up, but will not run off its own fuel system.
thought at may be injectors, but all seem to have power and are pulsing while cranked.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a thought - wonder if your immobiliser/Passlock system is OK? That will disable the injectors as soon as the engine starts if it isn't disarming.
If your security light is staying on that is a sign that something isn't right with the immobiliser.

i do not think it is staying on, but i will check. but from what i have read, most of the time the vehicle will start bu immidiately die. this will not start at all unless ether is used.

Hmm - yeah you're right about the immobiliser, just checked my book & they should start & run for a second or two still.
You say you have a spark but is the ignition timing OK? How well does it run with the ether?
Maybe the injectors aren't actually firing? They are hidden underneath the plastic upper manifold. Do you have or do you know anyone with a fault code reader? Might pay to check if any codes are present. I believe Autozone often does this for free?
