Question ABS and Parking brake lights come on when for weird reasons.. HELP?!?

Hello, I have an odd problem. When ever I try to use my power windows,heat/ac ****, or step on the brakes my ABS and parking brake lights activate on the dash... My windows/heat suddenly do not work, nor does my automatic side mirrors... I don't even understand how this is possible, granted I'm not the most mechanically savvy person on these trucks either. I don't suspect anything is actually wrong with the brakes themselves (other then maybe some crossed wires or other electrical ****...) Anyone who has any clue as to where to begin would be a great help!

P.S. W/e happened to carbureted motors... the lack of electronical nonsense made them so much better

When seemingly non-related electrical stuff starts going haywire, it's usually due to a poor or non-existant ground somewhere. Check the ground wire at the battery negative terminal: Take it apart at both ends, shine it up and tighten it up. Make sure you get rid of all of the green fuzz growing on the connections. Do the same thing with the body ground, (smaller wire at negative terminal).

I wont insult you by advising you to put a carb on your engine to fix your problem .. but have you ever WORKED on a full emissions compliant early eighties carbureted car?

I'm sixty eight, been a 'driveway mechanic' since the fifties... you dont know what you are talking about.

check #11, the dash grounds
