Default Air bag sensor replacement

So my airbag sensor light comes and goes. I checked the resistance as indicted here and it all seemed good, cleaned the connections but to no avail.

I got some replacements from the junk yard but it turned out the connections were different so unusable.

So were the OHM values for specific years also and incorrect for my year?

Are the sensors sold aftermarket or just salvage yards?

Thanks again

I think for my 99, the max senor resistance is 1,000 ohms, bur I can check my service manual later if that would help.

Thanks for the reply. I would appreciate the resistance values again and the terminals to check also as I don't think I kept my information or at least I can;t find it...

I'll try to get those to you later tonight or tomorrow.

Something I did was instead of reinstalling the sensor with a rivet, I installed a riv-nut.

I've attached excerpts from my 99 Service Manual. I think these should help. Let me know if they do or not.

The threshold value for the resistance appears to be 950 ohms and 1050 ohms depending on the particular circuit. You might have to check if the circuit has a good ground.

Good Luck and let us know if you get it fixed.

After all the head beating it seems to be only a bad connection at the drivers side sensor.UGH!
