Battery draws 8 amps, engine off
2002 blazer suv;
battery is drawing 8 amps, engine off! Nothing on!
1-put amp meter in line and pulled off all alternator lines, still 8 amp draw
2-pulled all fuses in both locations, under hood and side of dash one at time watching meter, no change
out of ideas?
P.s. Also pulled all relays!

Yeah 8 amps is way too much ill assume your battery is dead after sitting overnight. The only way your gonna find it is to start disconnecting stuff and hope you run into it. Starting with the alternator and fusses and relays is a great place to start so your up on it there. Next i would start with the wires at the starter maybe and be sure its a accessory and not the starter. Also listen for any accessory that might be running like a fan or rear wiper motor .its gonna be a challange so good luck.
The draw you're seeing could very well be something that is powered through a fusible link. That's why removing all of the fuses had no affect on the draw. When the battery is disconnected, all KAM's (keep alive memories) are lost. When initially connecting the battery again, there is a surge when the memories are repowered. After the initial surge, current draw should level off at no more than 50ma.
With more and more modules being networked together on vehicles, checking for parasitic draw should be done by checking voltage drop across fuses. If you're familiar with voltage drop testing, you're a step ahead of the game, if not, this will help: http://motorage.search-autoparts.com.../detail/660025
