Default Battery (hopefully right section)

uh yea my optima red top is reading 12.1 when off is that normal or to low. i member my other battery reading 12.3 to 12.6 when off.

Seems just a tad low. How long ago did you get that battery?

You could stop in at your local Advanced or Autozone and have them hook up their battery/charging system analyzer to check over your electrical system in your truck.

With all the rest of the troubles you are having, I would suspect either an alternator issue or a corrosion issue on one of the major grounds or +12V power connections.
