Default questions hopefully someone can help me with

ok, had the 97' for 4 days now. Already found a few things wrong with it.

Cab heater fan. When i was going to work this A.M, i turned it on high, it worked well for a few minutes, then i could barely hear it running, the control was still on high. I turned it off and turned it back on, it fixed itself but only a few mins later i could barely hear it again. Went out just a few mins ago to get in it and go, and the fan wouldn't come on period? whats the fix, fan? sensor? ect? How big of a PITA is it going to be to fix?

2nd problem. Flickering lights, when its turned on, the lights flicker both outside and the inside lights. No service engine lights on the car are shown Any suggestions to this?

thanks in advance guys

for the flickering lights it could be an alternator i had the same problem a while back and i threw a new one in and took care of the problem.

most likely the switch itself has gone bad...its an infamous thing with chevrolet vehicles. The relay is under the hood and should be easy to replace. good luck let us know!

I would not be surprised if the blower motor itself is getting ready to dump. Hope not, they can be a pain to get to. You would have to cut out the covering for it on the firewall.
