Hurricane Beryl blew through here this week and took some of my fence with it. Took Blazer to load up on lumber. The longest was a 2x12x16' treated pine. I got half of it inside tied to the bottom of the front seat with bungie cord and balanced the other half on the tailgate in the up position. The board weighed around 100 lbs, all of the weight on the tailgate, which held up fine. I love my truck!

 

That's great news! I feel the same way about my 02 blazer. You take care of the truck, and it should take care of you! Any pictures?

Glad to see the Blazer worked out for you. Myself, I prefer to hook up a utility trailer to haul such things, or one of my trucks. I have had a few elk in the back of my Blazer over the years, though. It will go places none of my trucks will go.
