Default Blazer won't turn over

I have a 2000 Blazer LS that won't turn over. I have power, you can hear the fuel pump turn on, there is just silence when you go to actually turn the key to start mode. There is no click click or anything like that. I see the security light blinking on the dash when I try to turn it over.

What could be causing this? The starter? theft lock ?

Sounds like an ignition switch failure to me.

Its some module on the transmission or something. Neutral Ignition Switch module or something like that. Anyway, my boss ( good with cars) rigged a push button switch for the time being. Just turn the key , push the button, it fire right up. Kinda like his race car he says.

The module was 34$ so he's going to replace it and hope that will do it. If not, were just going mount a permanent switch on the dash and start it that way.

Kinda sucks now starting the car with 2 people since the button is under the hood now but it will do til tomorrow.

Glad you got it figured out, I was going to say a passlock problem sense the security light was blinking, but I think with a passlock issue the truck will start then die after a second.
