Default Blend Door Actuator on 96 blazer

I have the part to replace it, i just cant seem to find the area where it goes. If someone could shed some light on this area that would be great. I know its going out because when i use the heat nothing happens but when its on vent i can feel it.

Update, I found where the air door actuator is located. well, it seems like it is in a very tight spot. is there another way to put that new part in without taking that whole dash apart.

On the later models we go through the glove box but I think on 96s it might be much harder.

I have to go threw the glove box and i notice its harder to fix it that way. An i am not taking the dash apart for that. I guess i will have to deal with it the way it is.

On my 99 I found I could remove a small panel on the engine compartment side of the heater/blower box and see the blend door. If you can do this too, perhaps as a temporary solution you can manually move the door for full-heat during the winter?

I'm attaching my pictures below.

The view is looking towards the firewall. The opening for the panel I removed is circled in red.

The blend door is indicated by the red arrow. The axis on which it rotates is highlighted in yellow.

Thanks, for the photos. I will have to manually do it that way. I don't know why gm had to make part locations such a pain in the butt to get too.
