Blower issue
With the truck running:
Voltage across the battery terminals
Voltage across the positive and negative blower wires as close to the motor as possible under full load
Same thing but move the negative probe to a good clean frame ground
Amperage if you have a meter. If clamp on then clamp anywhere on the power wire, full load.

If these numbers are at full load then you don't have a ground problem.
What was melting before?
Do you have an ammeter function on your meter? If so try to get a current reading inline under full load if you have a 10A scale
