Talking Blower Motor

Hey guys I have a 1997 4*4 4rd blazer with auto transmission I just replaced the blower motor in it because the motor had pretty much quit working on high speed. Got the old one out and new one in no problems went to start up and turn the motor on high and it has a loud rubbing sound going on what have I done wrong? Is it a bad motor or could it be out of balance?

The cage is probably contacting the housing... maybe the motor is installed crooked in the housing, or the cage is not seated all the way down on the motor shaft.
