Default Blower works intermittently.

I have a 98 Jimmy with climate control. My blower will work sometimes for days, then not work for a day or so. I have tried all settings, manual, automatic, switched to a/c with no luck in getting it going. Then next day it will start again. Any help will be greatly appreciated, as it is cold up here.

Thanks

What were you looking for with the tester?

You are likely experiencing a bad blower motor. Next time it doesn't start, try hitting the blower motor case under the hood near where the passenger fender meets the firewall.

Check the ground wire that comes off your heater control module. 2 wires plug into the blower motor and the 3rd wire goes to the right of the plug on the blower motor. Make sure the 3rd wire is tight making good contact.

The blower finally quit again. Beat it and it started. Changed blower out, so far everything is OK. Thanks everyone for your help.
