I face the issue, that I wanted to turn on my seat heating on the driver side. Since then, both power seats are not working anymore. I searched since a couple of hours the internet and this forum, but I canīt find the solution for it.
Somehow I read some things about a circuit breaker, but Iīm not sure where to find it, in addition I did nit figure out, if there is somewhere a fuse for it. Unfortunately I donīt have the manual, so I although canīt check which fuse it could be.
So I am sure someone will chime in with the fuse/circuit breaker location..I don't have that info at my present location but where I believe you'll end up is: pulling the step plate and pulling back the carpet (under drivers foot) and carefully peeling off the electrical tape/plastic wiring cover. There you will find many wires..I believe the wire you are most interested in the a large orange wire..It may split. Probe it and I believe you'll find a break or corrosion damage that you'll need to repair...I would check out the fuse/circuit breaker first....good luck..you'll get help here on this forum...Jerry
The heaters in the seats?
The motors that move the seat position?
The motors for the lumbar?
Depending on the answers to my questions and which power seat option you have it could be:
Power seat circuit breaker, 25A in the body relay box under the dash on the drivers side. There is a recent thread here on how to access this
Heated seat fuse, 20A in the UHFB
Cruise fuse 3 in the IP fuse panel
As pointed out by Jerry, the wiring or connectors

This means, if this is broken it needs to be replaced? I found no pictures of it and Iīm curious if there is spare part availeable in Germany actually, lets see...
Heated seat fuse, 20A in the UHFB: Sorry for being not firm, but what does UHFB mean?
Cruise fuse 3 in the IP fuse panel: Same with IP, I have no idea

Today I had a little time.
The heaters in the seats? Donīt work on both sides
The motors that move the seat position? Donīt work on both sides
The motors for the lumbar? Works on both sides.
Is this than the Circuit Breaker maybe? Problem is, that its actually very cold outside and I donīt want to spend to much time laying in the cold car
It is wired up a bit differently, depending on if you have 6 way or 8 way seats - and if it has memory seat function. But for all cases there is a circuit breaker in the body relay block for power seats. This circuit breaker feeds the big orange wire that goes to the seat switches, and then to the forward/back seat motors. (Lumbar can be on a different circuit.) This big orange wire should have 12V on it at all times or you will not have forward/rear/up/down working on driver's seat.
If there is 12 V to the seat switches, then you have isolated the problem to theand will need to be not then (Ignore the yellow text in the photo below showing the location of the body relay block).
switches, motors, or connectors at the seat. If it does not have 12V going to the seat switches, then that is the problem
Ignore the yellow text in the photo below showing the location of the body relay block. I pulled it from an unrelated source.

This starts the analytical approach which I was going to wait on depending on the OPs answer to my last post. If he decides to go this route then Les will guide him well.
