if you were going to replace everything....it would be $92 per side.

he is saying to rebuild the caliper with a little elbow grease and save the money on that, so just pads and rotors come out to the $52 per side...

I get $92 if you buy everything new (pads, caliper, rotor). $52 (pads, rotor) if you rebuild the calipers yourself (for free). Calipers only take an hour of your time to clean up and rebuild in the worst case scenario, which is what I had.

ahh got it... but you're still 10 per side too high.... pads sold per axle... so it would be 10 per side...... wouldn't you still have to shell out for the rebuild parts anyway? would it not then be more simple to just go the rebuilt way?

Yes your right, forgot to cut the price of the pads in half
I didn't buy a rebuild kit, although everything was rusty and extremely dirty. I just took it all apart, hit all parts on the wire brush, cleaned all rubber parts and re-assembled . Did the same thing with the sliders and bracket. My sliders were froze solid but now slide real easy. I tried this on one wheel and when I realized how easy it was I did all of them.
If your o-ring or boot is bad then you'll need new one's but I'm betting there good!

Got new caliper and pads, can I get by with just replacing the bad rotor on the one side, or should I replace both rotors?

Got brakes done today. Was able to get the rotors turned for $15 each, so saved some money there over buying 2 new ones. Thanks for everyone's help.
