Default braking problems

my car is a'97 jimmy 2wd. v6. Whenever i push thebrake, the rpm of my suv rises300 rpm then it dropsabout 500rpm, to where the engine almost dies out.was just wondering what the problem could be, i bled my brakes and it didn't make a difference.

If anyone could help me out in the direction to start troubleshooting, i would appreciate it very much. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP EveRYBODY!!!

Default RE: braking problems

Well your brake boost comes from vacuum, so when you apply the brake the motor looses some vacuum to the booster, so I would think that the IAC valve cannot respond fast enough to the change. I would start by cleaning the throttle body, MAF sensor, and the IAC valve. Then see what happens from there.
