Default Correct Mirror?

I jus bought my 98 2Dr LS a few weeks ago.. and i just realized that each side has a differnt mirror on it..i need to find out which mirror is the right one so i can replace it. The drivers side is heated and the passenger side isnt. One is more round where the other is more wide...im confused..lol.. i thought i was just seeing things...

To go with the styling of the 98 you would want the round one

If you have this style:

Then someone replaced it with a new style mirror, I believe these came on the truck from 2000 onwards. So if you want to update and keep the mirror above, I would just upgrade to the newer styled mirror. Both bolt up and fit just the same. Its just the style of mirror. I believe the second mirror shown has a larger viewing area, and it looks more truck like. Eventually I want to upgrade to them. Hope this helps, if you got any other questions just ask.

The first mirror sounds like what you got on one side and the bottom pic is the other!! It would be your choice on which to go with!!

Pics of the mirrors would help determine which style you need to purchase so they will match up. If you want to keep the heated mirrors (provided they are wired up and working), I believe you will have to go with the style pictured in the lower pic that lennyblazer posted.

Both style mirrors have manual, power options, as well as heated and non heated. (I have the top mounted mirror with heat and its nice) Just as swartlkk said, make sure your truck came with heated mirrors, or test that the one heated mirror works. Best place to find replacements is on ebay, they are the cheapest. You should be able to get a single one for about $35 shipped or a pair of new ones for about $70. I have included links to the ebay seller that is the cheapest and best quality in my opinion:

Mirror 1 Non Heated
Mirror 1 Heated

Mirror 2 Heated
** Guess you can only get the second mirror heated, if you dont have the heated function they should still work as a power mirror and fitment wise.

Correct. You may want to spray some water or something like that on it to see if it evaporates off, or if you have snow pack some snow on the mirror and then wait to see if it works.
