Default in deep water

I got my 99 jimmy 2d 4x4 stuck in a big mud puddle, the water was up to the rockers, minor water sitting on my driver side floor, and nowhere else. i finally got the vehicle towed out of the hole after about 12-14 hours of sitting. i started it up, water poured out of the exhaust for about 5-10 seconds and i let it idle a bit. it seems to drive just fine except now the gear selection indicator on the dashboard doesnt display any gears other than reverse and 3. it wont light up on P N D 2 or 1. The other thing ive noticed so far is intermittently when i am at a stop it will idle really rough when i am in drive or reverse and stopped. once in a while my gear selection indicator will click back on and it will show me what gear im in but both problems are intermittent. Since pulling it out of the water I have driven around 30 trouble free miles with exception to the problems i listed above until the check engine light came on. I pulled 4 codes P0300, P0131, P0171, P1133. I cleared all of the codes and have driven roughly 10 miles and have no check engine light so far (yet) any ideas on where i should look in order to inquire about the rough idle or the gear selection indicator? is there a control module mounted somewhere on the transmission for that? this is my first blazer/jimmy and i am very new to chevys in general. I have an audi and it has a million control modules for everything you can possibly imagine so i dont know what im facing is all. any advice is very much appreciated.

Thanks
Justin

the gear indicator probably has something to do with the range switch on the side of the transmission. it may have gotten water in the connector

i will look into the range switch connector/unit asap. i am having trouble finding anything about it online, even a picture of the part. i am working to acquire a GM parts software program to maybe help, unless anyone here knows the part number for the trans range switch, or what its name is.
