Ok Guys,
I have been out there all morning tracing wires, checking plugs to ensure they are all the way in, checking fuses and relays. I am also re-checking all grounds to make sure the are secure and have a good connection.
I found 1 wire unplugged but I cannot find the source for it to plug into. This is a 96 4x4 4.3L, I got a picture hoping someone with the same wiring could help me out. I need to know where or what it plugs into. This could be my cause then again it might not be. Thanks
Pics!
The plug only has about 12" of length.

Ok the above plug went to a plug that come down the pass side frame rail. I got it hooked up and it made no diffrence.
Is there relays, or fuses inside the cab I can check. I checked the entire fuse panel, and I pulled the relays in the glove box. The DRL didn't come on but the fuel pump is still coming on.
Where else should I check? The grounds on the back of the heads, do they have to bolt a certain way, like certain wires to each head or does it matter? I am at a loss!

I think you have a power wire shorted to something possibly rubbing on another wire making those affected wires hot,,Try disconnecting 1 wire at a time...it will take a while to do im sure but worth a shot.

Is there anyone around you that has an S10 that you can look at? If not, take a camera and hit a few used car lots to take a look around under a few hoods.

Yes,
My mother in law has a 96 same year its identical except its black. I have compared the 2 trucks wiring nose to nose 3 times now with no luck. I am taking a break, after a few days I am going to start again with a fresh mind.
How often does a ignition go out? Will a broken hazzard switch cause this? I broke my switch 3 days after the truck brokedown and have not had power to it until now. Thanks everyone!!

I may be wrong but does your blazer have a fuse box on the inside of the drivers side fender. The 97 does I believe this wire goes to the fuse box on there is a post on the front of the fuse box that the wire goes to. hook a volt meter to the red wire with the battery hooked up and the other wire from the volt to ground if there is power 12+ volts then this wire goes to the fuse box power in, or the other end that goes to the alternator is in the wrong place on the alternator. If there in no volts with the volt meter the wire goes to the fuse box (ignition) key out fuse circuit. there should be a post on the fuse box for that also. again I could be wrong.

No fuse box under the hood. Only fuse box is inside the truck. Thanks for your help though. At this point any and all help is more than welcomed.

Could this be caused by a bad ignition?
