Default Electrical issue, new to me Zr2

Hey guys I usually frown upon new members that have their first post as a problem on other forums im a member on but after browsing around I boaght this zr2. I knew it needed a few little things like a parking brake adjustment and tires, but right after I bought the thing I started having issues.

1st: 2 miles away from buying it I stop to get a drink and when I hop back in the truck I turned the key with no starter kicking on. All the dash lights were working perfect and shutting off in the start position as they should, but no turning over. Ignition switch? Turned the key about 5 times until she fired up. 2 hours down the road I stopped to use the restroom and the same thing.

Now just two days later, about half the time I have to turn the key about mulitple times sometimes like 10+ for it to turn over. Also lots of dash lights light up sometimes right after starting, sometimes going down the road, sometimes they will turn off going down the road. Other times it has no dash lights.

Its almost like the truck doesnt realize that its running but it is. I feel like it is either the ignition switch or the computer(I know its usually the scapegoat), if you guys could help me verify this or add in ideas it would help me greatly thanks.

The truck is running great and has never shut off after its started.

Okay so after taking my truck to work the first time, and having the battery die in 8hrs of sitting I took a closer look at it and the PO threaded a bolt that was too long into the side post battery causing a terrible connection. Replaced the battery with one I had laying around and pretty much all of my problems have went away. I already got the ignition switch, but I might return it if my problems dont come back in the next week. So far it has fired up first key turn everytime except once and that could have been my fault(5spd clutch, brake, N), but im not sure. Havent had any lights in the dash come on since then.
