Default Elusive remote key fob

Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster

I have a 2001 blazer 4dr and ive been trying to find the correct transmitter for the receiver that i found in the truck.
Receiver part no.: GM 15017737 (AU5)
Which from my research, seems to pair with a transmitter with part no: GM 15048582

However it has been a challenge just trying to find this particular remote, none of the ones in online retailers or even ebay match the replacement part no, (or maybe my googling aint up to scratch) and at this point im on the verge of forgetting this remote business and continue using the good ol fashion key entry.
Any one got any insight on where to find this remote or even one that works with that receiver? This forum has been a well of knowledge for me so heres hoping someone can help.
Rob.

Perhaps the original p/n was superceded with a later one?

The online GM parts stores will have that info, even if they don't have the part in stock.

I was able to find a replacement fob for my 99 several years ago so I would think you could.

So taking your advice i contacted GM Parts Giant and they just gave me a generic "that part is discontinued" response with no other info. So no go there.

But seeing all the key sellers on Ebay I thought - what about messaging them. So I reached out to 7 different key sellers.
Well a guy from Oemkeyindustry got back to me promptly, managed to find me the right key and even gave me a spare battery. Absolute legend! So yeah im pretty stoked I finally got a remote for my blazer
