i was gassing it hard my oil guage dropped and check gauge comes on
i park it for 5 mins , come back , it dies on the road , i restart , park it in a stall
got it to start a last time , with engine sounding bad , knocks ,
i open the hood , there is oil everywhere . i will go look for a problem later on
like holes in the block, etc .
oh yeah , i had put about 5 quarts of oil in it instead of 4.5,
im hoping it didnt damage anything but just blew oil out of the filter maybe somewhere else , engine is 4.3 95 blazer
any ideas where to look , what to check ?

 

well engine is running fine i put in 4 quarts of oil and it blew all 4 quarts right out the bottom somewhere , so i got to tow it and get the problem found

 

Did you make sure everything was tight before your 2nd try? I assume you did.

Well, hopefully you can find the source. Looking around an oil soaked block isn't going to make things easy.

 

I don't have a clue but I'm placing a bet for a remote oil cooler line.

 

one of the oil hoses popped out of the metal piping , back to normal again
