Default engine power loss shut off

95 blazer Ls with about 176k. engine likes to sputtered, shut down when stepping on the gas. I out it in n and restart keep going. I have read a few threads on the issue but want to ask if anyone has a clue. No its not the.catbcause I cut it off and its doing it.

I have read fuel pump, ecm, them pump connector, but the problem comes back. it only got extremely worse after I went mudding last week. its summer here, always above 80 and humid.

sounds like your having fuel problems . the only way you can find out is by doing a leak down test on it

this is a fuel injected truck right ? it could always be a leaking spider or fuel pressure regulator . also sometimes the ecm fails that might be it too but its not worth trowing in parts in till its diagnosed

Edit : how old is the fuel filter ? do you got a ses light on?

No ses light unless it burnt out. And should be fuel injected

Before when I would step on the gas and the engine would bog down the ses light would blink for a while stay on for a while then shut off. That was before the truck would shut off

also it's idling a little funny, sometimes feels like 2000 rpm and then it drops, like the 02 sensor is bad, but i just replaces 02 sensor 1 bank 1 in july

did you ever clean the egr valve ? that could cause bad idle

this might help you with that

xgio... It's a '95. Of course it is fuel injected...

gas, A blinking CEL is an indication of a misfire. The CEL should illuminate during the bulb test when you turn the key to the 'run' position so you can check to be sure it isn't burnt out. Given the tendency for the CPI engine to have fuel problems, I would definitely recommend getting a gauge to test the pressure.
