Must be a 2WD and/or a vehicle that no one cares about anymore! Let's hope the engine in your old Blazer comes out a bit slower! I suspect that it will.
So which knock sensor was on the motor that just came out of the donor Blazer? Inquiring minds want to know!

He asked if it was ok if they left the donor blazer outside the shop
I said sure.. hopefully someone will steal it so I don't have to get rid
of it...Lol
**My mind is inquiring too ..he is going to work on it over the weekend
I already asked for a picture of knock sensor.

I looked at the wiring for the 2-wire vs 1-wire knock sensors some timae ago and due to the way they are wired I don't see how to use a different one than was originally installed. Really don't think grounding one wire will do the trick. However, the retapping of hole in late block to 1/4 NPT for the early sensor sounds promising.
Well look at this mickey mouse sh*t....this is off old 99 block
Guess they tried using both types....hmmm
