Erratic fuel gauge 99 Blazer LT 4wd 4dr
My fuel gauge is acting wierd. I know the gauge will move when cornering, accelerating or braking, but I could be parked on level ground with a quarter tank left and the gauge will go up to full then to 3/4 then full then half, so on and so on. Anyone heard of that happening?

Common problem with this generation of the blazer family. The sending unit (mounted on the fuel pump) has gone bad. Try driving by mileage until the pump needs replaced.

Mine does the same thing, but once you put it in drive it goes back to normal. I also hear (can't confirm) that our gas tanks lack baffles to control the gas moving around and it has something to do with it?

I just bought this truck so I don't know how far a tank will take it. How many km's (or miles) are you guys getting per tank? According to the manual the 4dr holds 68L and the 2dr holds 72L.

I average around 500-550km's per tank. I will always fill to the top and reset my trip meter and onboard computer to zero. I follow the onboard computer to tell me how many litres I've used.

i have the same problem, i usually go 250-300 Miles (sorry dont know the conversion for KM's) before i fill up, i know my tank isnt empty because it only takes like 15 gal. i have a 20 gal. tank...i get between 17 and 20 miles per gallon depending on if i beat it or not...hope that helps
