Following up on KC lights not fitting..
#1
Instead of drilling new holes on the sides and screwing me 6" KC Daylighters that way, I was wondering if there is any way I can get a different type of arm that holds the lights. Mine has a small l-arm screwed into the back of the bar, and it comes up and backwards so the mounts go behind the bar, which puts my lights in between the 2 bars, thus creating the problem of the lights not fitting.
I noticed since the light gets smaller as it gets towards the back, if I move my lights more forwards I can squeeze them in, only they stick out a little but that's not so bad.
I was also considering making my own type of arm that would put the lights infront of the push bar.
This shows the little tabs that mounts the lights.

And you can see how thick the bars are compared to a standard one piece grille guard.

Here are the lights.

Your links aren't working. My guess is that you could drill holes in front of the lab tabs and that they might fit, or get some 4-5" lights from advance or autozone. Good luck.

I don't know if the links are working now, butI did it in Firefox before, went on IE and noticed they weren't working so I think I fixed it..
But yeah, I'm about to check Autozone for something smaller. I don't even think 5" would fit though.

are the lights themselves too big? like is there really not 6' of clearance between the two bars? because the daylighters have that special shock-absorbing base that makes them much taller than most lights. My IPF lights have the L-bracket behind the light, so the bottom of the L is very close to the bottom of the light, giving better clearance.
Could you change the mounting post of the kc lights? Or is the wiring and bulb base all integrated in the mount?

The lights themselves are too big, the mounting on the lights going onto the L bracket are behing the 2 bars, the problem is the light itself doesn't fit between the bars. I just took a quick measurement outside in the dark, in the freezing cold, and I measured aprox. 5.5 inches of space.
Now, with the mounting brackets..
This is the mounting screw alone, it's about 2 3/4" long.

Now with all of the nuts and shock absorbers

As you can see, the L-bracket is too small in the first place. Doesn't even fit. And the nut that holds the mount on doesn't even clear the bolt that attaches the mount to the bar. So, that's one big giant mess.

So I figured there was only 2 ways of trying to squeeze these lights in, either remove all the shock absorbers, or leave just the top just to make sure my lights don't break.
With no shock absorbers, the lights starting from the mount up to the top bar are 7" high, still too big.

With 1 shock absorber, it's 7.5" high..

The problem is the total height, not just the mounts themselves. I removed the top bar and put the lights in perfectly.
The only thing I figured I could do is lower the bottom bar, which is pretty much a process that might not be worth it in the end..

Sounds like you are going to be better off with some different lights.

I was looking at KC 3x5's.
5x7's probably won't fit because they have large mounts on them too.
Tomorrow I'll do more measuring..

ouch thats rough..the 3x5s might look better on the front, since they keep with the whole rectangular styling of the front of the blazer

Exactly. I have another problem now, I stripped the hole for one of the mounts so now it's giggling. :/
