Does the grinding go away when you turn left or right? If so, which direction causes it to go away?

Im fustrated now when i get in the truck and put the truck in drive it makes a grind noise like gears hitting?? lights on the dash flicker for a second. truck runs fine, shifts perfect 4wd is perfect 4 lo is perfect. I just dont know what it could be.

I've had the same issue. I chalked it to really cheap crappy ceramic pads. My noise varies depending on temp, and when I turn. The left front creates crazy dust unlike the others. It also may be a stuck caliper.
