Fuel filler neck lower hose

Ok so here's where we are:
Installed the new CORRECT filler neck hoses. Filled up the tank. Reset the CEL. And the very next time I got in and started it up I got the P0449 all over again.
At least there's no more gas leak.
However, I still smell gas fumes inside and out. I'm thinking the hose the goes to the evap canister is compromised in some way.
I'll have to check it out in the near future. Will post findings/solutions.

Oh man. But like you said, at least you don't have any gas leaks. Keep us posted and post pics when you can.

I am onto the fuel piping too (luckily I am extending the hoses due to a body lift).
I had doubts regarding the fuel inlet pipe, where the 5/8" forks with 2" one. I had the feeling it might be rotten. You might check that one too:


I was unsure of the junction, so I've dropped the inlet for sand blasting - so either it will get destroyed & replaced or get an epoxy coating... In my case it is still fine.
